KU Genomics Facility Service Schema
For the GeneChip-based microarray analysis, we recommend investigators to consult the facility on experimental design first before ordering GeneChips. Generally investigators need to prepare total RNA or mRNA samples in their labs based on the protocols we provide. If the procotocls are followed closely, there should be no problem with the sample quality. The microarray data generation generally takes one week from sample submission. Data analysis service is available upon request.
We are especially experienced at conducting GeneChip analysis on very small RNA samples (see "Small Sample Protocol" in the Service Table below). Good array signal can be obtained from as little as 10 ng total RNA.
The facility provides all assistance needed on helping investigators prepare grant proposals.
Table of Services and Fee Schedule (Revised, in effect Nov 1, 2005)
* Affymetrix GeneChips not included. Investigators may choose to have the chips ordered by the facility at the specially negotiated price listed below or order chips directly from Affymetrix at the same price.
** If any special customized service is needed, please enquire the facility.
